Deanne Hastings missing person case was filed in November 2015.
Her family and close friends are left desperate for any answers they can find. She was last seen leaving her home in Spokane, Washington, and since then, she has been missing without a trace.
Every day that passes brings new hope to those searching for Deanne but also more worries as time passes. With no clues or leads, the only hope of uncovering what happened is by relying on clues provided by her friends and family.
Who was Deanne? What happened to her?
Deanne Hasting was a mother of three who had experienced hardship in the past. Her parents divorced when she was 15 years old. As a result, she was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder.
While attending college, Deanne got pregnant with her first child, Hayden. Although the kid’s father agreed to raise the child, Deanne’s diagnosis made it impossible for them to stay together.
After that, Deanne relocated to Texas, got married, and had two kids; nevertheless, her marriage ended after nine years. By the end of November 2015, Deanne had relocated to Spokane, Washington, with her son.
She enrolled in cosmetology school and later got engaged to Mike Tibbetts. Her sudden disappearance shocked her family because her life had just begun to take a positive turn.
Hayden and his mother shared a tight bond and had a close relationship. Hayden was just 17 years old when his mother disappeared.
Deanne attended her first day of cosmetology school on November 3, 2015, and then she left her fiance a letter claiming she was heading to a nearby store.
When Mike returned, he discovered the message and waited for his fiance, but she never showed up.
Mike used the GPS to track the whereabouts of his fiance and found her car abandoned in a neighboring parking lot with her phone inside.
He was concerned that something might have happened to Deanne. The cosmetology school also reported that Deanne did not attend her class.
Mike soon received word that Deanne’s credit card had been used in a Cheney, Washington, grocery shop, but when he arrived, his fiancée was nowhere to be seen.
Two days later, when Mike finally saw the surveillance video from the grocery store, he saw Deanne acting abnormally.
Those who met her stated that Deanne was pretty confused and kept saying that she had been drugged and kidnapped.
Did the credit card help in solving Deanne Hastings’ missing case?
The cards quickly led law enforcement to Randy Riley, who claimed to have been given Deanne’s credit cards voluntarily. But when Deanne’s license was discovered outside a local deli, the police questioned Randy.
Surprisingly, Randy abruptly changed his statements, claiming that they had only spoken for a short period while he had met Deanne before she went missing.
Randy found her credit cards where he met Deanne, and started using them without worrying about the consequences it would lead to.
He also acknowledged that he was the one who lost the license. Unfortunately, Randy’s story was never verified, and the investigation by the police met a dead end.
Authorities only had that lead left, and the case remained unsolved. Even though it is still regarded as an active investigation, the police have investigated all of their potential leads.
