It was confirmed that Pop Smoke died at 5:12 AM at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Pop Smoke’s real name was Bashar Barakah Jackson.
He was born on July 20, 1999, in Brooklyn, New York City, to his parents, Audrey Jackson, and Greg Jackson.

His mother, Audrey Jackson, was Jamaican, while his father, Greg Jackson, was Panamanian.

Carlos said the suspect’s intent was to steal and not to kill, but the confrontation led to the tragic incident.
Carlos added that the suspect is in their custody and is being held in jail for murder charges.

Corey Walker was another suspect in Pop Smoke’s murder, but he was not pleaded guilty.
