Early Life of Enrica Cenzatti
Not much is available about her family history, early life, and education, besides being born in Italy. There are contradictory reports about her birth year: some mention it as 1969, while others as 1970. As a student, she is lived in Pisa, Tuscany region of Italy, during her teenage years.
Love Story of Enrica Cenzatti and Andrea Bocelli
During Andrea’s law studies, Andrea and Enrica met; Andrea used to play piano in local bars to finance his studies, and Enrica, a high school student, was in one of those bars on a fateful night. The minute she saw him, she fell in love, and Andrea, although blind, somehow understood that she was the one for him. The two started dating soon afterward, and in 1992 established their relationship with a wedding celebration. The couple embraced their first child in February 1995, a son called Amos. The second son of them was born in October 1997, called Matteo, who recently began his musical profession. Sadly, the couple’s bond began to end, and in 2002 followed in divorce, the reason for which has never been presented publicly, but the two continue to be good friends. Enrica lives in the same neighborhood as her now ex-husband, and the two received custody of their children. Unfortunately, Enrica has chosen to stay silent. She does not like the public appearance, so she has never told what she does for a living, and other personal information about herself, including her parents’ names, whether she has any siblings, and which schools she studied. Hopefully, we will get to know about her personal life someday.
Enrica Cenzatti’s ex-Husband, Andrea Bocelli
Andrea Bocelli was born on September 22, 1958, in Lajatico, Tuscany, Italy. He is the son of Alessandro Bocelli and Edi. Throughout the pregnancy, doctors told Andrea’s mother to terminate, as it was visible that Andrea would be born with a disability. However, his mother determined not to gave importance to doctors and decided to continue the pregnancy. From birth, Andrea was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma, which left him with inadequate sight. Andrea was brought up on the family farm with his younger brother Alberto, and from an early age, began an interest in music, with only the sounds of classical music encouraging him to resolve problems calmly caused by glaucoma. He began taking piano classes when he was only six and started singing in a tenor voice when he was just seven. His nanny gifted him a record from Franco Corelli, and from then, he began showcasing an interest in tenor singers.
How Andrea Lost His Sight Completely?
When Andrea was only 12 years of age having big goals towards music, Andrea was playing outside as a goalkeeper in a game of soccer with his friends, taking a pause from music, when a ball smacked him in the head, which caused a brain hemorrhage, and left him completely blinded in both eyes. The doctors even attempted leeches as their last hope for Andrea’s sight to be healed, but this try, like several attempts but remained unsuccessful. Nevertheless, this did not hinder him as he continued formal education and ultimately graduated from the University of Pisa with a law degree.
After getting his law degree in 1986, he practiced as a court-appointed defense attorney for about a year before completely resigning from the profession. He finally contacted famous tenor Franco Corelli to guide him. Corelli happily allowed him to be his student, and Bocelli went back to performing at the piano bars in the evenings to pay for the lessons.
At these bars, he predominantly played songs by Frank Sinatra, Charles Aznavour, and some Italian pop. He also performed Mozart and Beethoven sometimes, but those were not that famous. On one of these nights in 1987, he coincided with Enrica Cenzatti. At the time, she was just a 17-year-old student, slim and bright. It did not take long time for a romance to grow between them. She initially fell in love with his voice and then with him. On June 27, 1992, they got married. After few years, on February 22, 1995, their first son Amos was born. On October 8, 1997, the couple embraced their second son, whom they called Matteo.
Besides his marriage, something else also happened in 1992 that stopped developing Bocelli’s career trajectory. He happily auditioned for a demo tape that was to be produced by Italian rock star Zucchero Fornaciari. Through Fornaciari, Bocelli met Pavarotti and later accompanied Fornaciari on a European tour. He published his first studio album, ‘Il Mare Calmo della Sera’, in 1994. Since then, he has put out 14 more studio albums, three greatest hits albums, and nine complete operas. He has sold over 90 million records and has been bestowed both the OMRI (Order of Merit of the Italian Republic) and OMDSM (Order of Merit of Duarte, Sánchez, and Mella) honors. In the 1990s, Cenzatti emerged in many pictures published by numerous publications alongside her husband and children.
Despite the decay of their marriage and ultimate divorce in 2002, Enrica Cenzatti and Andrea Bocelli determined to raise their two sons together. As of 2007, they had resided near each other in Forte Dei Marmi, a resort town in Tuscany, Italy. While the boys liked to stay with their mother, they would often arrive and spend time with their father at his villa.
Soon after their division, Bocelli started dating Veronica Berti, who was also his manager. They ultimately got married on March 21, 2014. From his relationship with Berti, Bocelli has a daughter, Virginia, born on March 21, 2012.
Despite this, Enrica Cenzatti has kept a friendly relationship with her former husband. Their son, Matteo, has developed an interest in his father’s profession to become a tenor and musician.
